Membership Types and Abilities

Student

Any student currently enrolled at Sonoma State University with a valid Seawolf ID card is allowed to use the facility. Assessed students will receive a complimentary membership with tuition during the fall and spring semesters.

Faculty/ Staff

Any current employee of Sonoma State University can use the facility by purchasing a membership.

Alumni

Any person who has completed a degree from Sonoma State University can use the facility by purchasing a membership. Any retired faculty/staff or alumni – please complete the Retired Faculty/Staff & Alumni Form form prior to coming in. Once completed, we will confirm your eligibility and send you a confirmation email. 

Sponsored Members

Each current Campus Recreation member may sponsor one person to use the campus recreation facilities by purchasing a membership. The sponsored member must be 18 years of age. Please note that sponsored members are NOT allowed to sponsor other individuals.

Retired Staff/Faculty

Any person who has previously retired from Sonoma State University can use the facility by purchasing a membership.

Any retired faculty/staff or alumni – please complete the Retired Faculty/Staff & Alumni Form form prior to coming in. Once completed, we will confirm your eligibility and send you a confirmation email. 

Members

Vaccinations and surveillance testing are not required of non-student members. A risk of COVID-19 exists in this facility. Please take necessary precautions, as needed. Masks are strongly recommended.

 

FAQs

Who is eligible for a membership and how do I sign up for a membership?

Anyone currently affiliated with Sonoma State University (Students, Faculty/Staff, Emeritus/Retirees, Alumni & Alumni Association Members, etc.) is eligible for a membership. If not affiliated with the University, potential members may be “sponsored” by a current member and allowed to purchase a membership. Please see the Policies and Waivers page for a more complete breakdown of membership eligibility categories.

How long are memberships good for?

Memberships may be purchased for a full calendar year, the duration of a semester or for the summer session. There are also daily passes available. Student will receive membership free with tuition during the fall, winter and spring semesters.

Can I guest a friend in?

There are Guest Passes for $5 daily passes, which are available for purchase at the Campus Recreation front desk.

Where can I find the Campus Rec hours of operation?

What are non-peak hours at the Campus Recreation Center?

The Campus Recreation Center is typically slower between 6 a.m. to noon and then again from 10 p.m to closing.

Where is the pool located and what are the hours?

The pool is located beside the Main Gymnasium and Field House on the eastern side of campus, near the Tennis Courts and Parking Lot G. How and where do I sign up for programs at the Campus Recreation Center?

The Campus Recreation front desk is where most program information is located. The staff at the front desk and the building supervisors on staff can assist you with program information and sign ups.

Are lockers available to rent?

Lockers are available for daily use and semester use, which are available for purchase through the Campus Recreation front desk.

Is a parking pass included with a Campus Rec membership?

Sorry but parking is NOT included with a Campus Recreation membership. For information on Sonoma State University parking permits and services, please visit Transportation and Parking Services permits webpage.
